New Vikings Stadium Vision

Let the negotiations begin.  With the lease of the Metrodome expiring after the end of next season and the roof still collapsed, the Vikings are looking for a new home.

There is no doubt that a deal will get done, it's just a matter of figuring out the numbers and of course, roof, no roof or both. I do find it funny that the Vikings say they only need and will help pay for a "roofless" stadium, but all the sketches on Vikings.com of a new stadium have a roof. They have a lot of work to do off the field and where the field is going to be, Skol Vikings!

The Minnesota Vikings are willing to pay about a third of the cost of their desired new stadium, but won't help pay for a roof even if state lawmakers insist it needs one.

Vikings vice president and stadium point man Lester Bagley said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday that the Vikings would prefer an outdoor stadium, but understood that might not win legislative approval when lawmakers in February take up the team's request for a stadium funded in part by taxpayers.
