Gail and Ken Janes of Richfield got quite the delivery this week as they were the winners of a contest put on by AT&T to win a replica of the throne from the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones."  The couple was one of 65,000 entries for the "Own the Throne" contest and actually won it!

Gail said she signed up for the contest on a lark and said " I thought it was going to be a T-shirt or a cup or something like that." Well it was much more than that and how cool to own something like this? I am guessing that guests in the future will be battling to have a seat on the throne.

The 7 foot tall 310 pound replica of the famous throne is made of metal and resin which was made by a company called Traction 3D who actually worked on props for the set on the show.  It is reported by Variety that the piece is valued at around $18,000.

Ken built a special patio for the throne and is planning on building a pavilion to shield it from the weather. And in case you are wondering Gail said it is actually very comfortable to sit on. Glad to see that the couple is excited to win such a unique prize and it seems to fit in just right at their home. For more on this story click here.
