Two Northland Wendy's fast food restaurants have closed their doors after being sold to a competitor.

According to Fox 21 News, the Wendy's restaurant located on London Road in Duluth and the Wendy's located in Cloquet have closed their doors after both being sold to a local Burger King franchisee.

While employees from both locations are currently without a job, they will be given the opportunity to work at the new Burger King fast food restaurants once they are open, which is expected to happen in around 12 weeks.

The Wendy's located near the Miller Hill Mall was not involved in these transactions and will remain open under normal business hours.
