If you are looking for a job, the hours are good, there is paid training, and the pay rates are between $17 and $24 hr.

The U.S. Census Bureau said these temporary jobs are great for college kids, homemakers who want a little extra cash, or senior people that want to earn some cash.

Last fall the U.S. Census Bureau put out an email and ad to ask people to apply and only filled 65% of its goal in Wisconsin. They still need more than 18,500 more people to apply for Census Taker positions. The people hired are put in their own community so that they can go door to door for those that don't respond to the 2020 Census that is online, by phone, or by mail.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, you can visit the U.S. Census Bureau website or call 855-JOB-2020 and select option 3 for more information.

Pay rates for field and clerical jobs can be found at the U.S. Census Bureau pay rate websiteOnce you apply your application will remain active just in case the Census needs more people.
