Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings were energized by the home field advantage of Mall of America Field enough so that they beat their NFC North rival Chicago Bears 21-14.

Despite Christian Ponder's lackluster performance, passing for only 91-yards and one interception, the Vikings running game and defense worked hard for a win and got one, keeping their playoff hopes alive with a record of 7-6.
