I realize that we're just a week into the baseball season, but the NFL is great at creating news all year.  Today, they announced the preseason schedule for the upcoming season.

The Minnesota Vikings will open the preseason schedule on the road against the Buffalo Bills.  Week 3 will be broadcast nationally on NBC’s Sunday Night Football as the Vikings kick off the 2nd season in U.S. Bank Stadium against the San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff will be at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 27.

Here are the Vikings scheduled preseason opponents:

  • Preseason Week 1 (Aug. 10-13): at Buffalo Bills
  • Preseason Week 2 (Aug. 18-20): at Seattle Seahawks
  • Preseason Week 3 (Aug. 27): vs. San Francisco 49ers
  • Preseason Week 4 (Aug. 31): vs. Miami Dolphins

The Green Bay Packers will open the preseason with a home game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and they currently do not have a nationally televised game scheduled until the regular season.

Here are the Packers scheduled preseason opponents:

  • Preseason Week 1 (Aug. 10-13): vs Philadelphia Eagles
  • Preseason Week 2 (Aug. 18-20): at Washington
  • Preseason Week 3 (Aug. 24-27): at Denver Broncos
  • Preseason Week 4 (Aug. 31): vs. Los Angeles Rams
