Vikings Rookie Sharrif Floyd Says Knee MRI Shows No Damage

MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Vikings rookie defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd says an MRI on Sunday showed no damage to his left knee.

Floyd says he's ready to return to practice whenever the coaching and medical staff gives him the OK and there's "no worries" on his part.

Minnesota coach Leslie Frazier wanted the MRI because Floyd felt soreness and to "err on the side of caution" after the first-round draft pick out of Florida was injured in the second quarter of a 27-13 preseason loss to the Texans on Friday night.

Floyd was on the field for Sunday's morning walk-through but didn't participate. He had a tackle for a loss and deflected pass against the Texans.
