When a child is sick, a wish come true could be the turning point in their recovery. They feel stronger, more energetic and playful. The Minnesota chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is hosting Walk For Wishes on Saturday September 30th. Registration begins at 9, the walk/run starts at 10.

The goal for this event is to raise $20,000. You can get registered at their site by clicking here.  You have the option to run the 5K, or walk. If you are unable to do either, a donation option is available on the site as well. There are teams and individuals already registered that you can donate to. Get a team together, with family and friends or co-workers! Everyone is encouraged to get involved and walk or run together and raise funds for children in Minnesota who are facing critical illnesses. The organization hopes to raise enough funds to make the wishes of 15 local children come true.

"Powered by wish families, volunteers, companies and friends, Walk For Wishes is a nationwide Make-A-Wish® fundraiser that celebrates the thousands of wishes that have already been granted, while raising funds for future wishes. By participating in one of the many walks held throughout the country, you can help bring the life-changing impact of a wish to children battling life-threatening medical conditions in your community."
