The Minnesota Vikings were in desperate need of a big wide receiver going into the draft. Another frail speedster was not what Teddy Bridgewater needed, he needed someone who could fight for the ball, block and break tackles.  Even though Laquon Treadwell was the fourth receiver taken, I believe he was the best receiver for the Vikings.

The 6-foot-2, 219-pound receiver may not be as fast as others in the draft, but running a fast 40 doesn't mean you'll be a great player.  I don't think we need to talk about speedy wide receiver Troy Williamson ever again, do we?

I'm not saying he's the next Calvin Johnson, but Treadwell is big, plays fast off the line of scrimmage and is the best blocker of this receiving class.  He will make plays, he will score touchdowns, and he will help our running game.

Before he puts on the purple jersey, check out this college highlight video.  What did you think of the pick?
