The NCAA Final Four begins Saturday, April 6 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and the Better Business Bureau is warning everyone of potential ticket scams surrounding the event.

Saturday finds #1 Virginia battling #5 Auburn at 5:09 p.m. CST.  That will be followed by #2 Michigan State against #3 Texas Tech at about 7:49 p.m.

Officially, the Final Four games are sold out, but there are tickets currently on sale from a variety of ticket brokers.

Following these tips can help prevent you from being ripped off while trying to get after-market tickets:

  • Do Not Buy Tickets On A Street Corner Or Outside The Event:  Scammers will print fake tickets looking for a quick sale and then when you are denied entrance to the venue, they're long gone.
  • Research The Seller Before You Buy:  Visit BBB.org to learn what other customers have experienced from a vendor, and check www.VerifiedTicketSource.com to see if the vendor selling tickets is a member of the NATB.  In Minneapolis, Ticket King is listed as member.  The NCAA also has their own site for buying and selling tickets.
  • Be Wary Of Online Advertisements:  Online ads can lead you to scam websites that look authentic.  Furthermore, never purchase anything from an unsecured website.
  • Use Payment Methods That Come With Protection:  Avoid using cash, a wire transfer or debit card to make your purchase.  Instead, use a credit card as they generally provide some recourse should you not receive what you were promised.

You should also research the venue and the seating chart specific to the NCAA Final Four, so that you know exactly where your tickets are supposed to be.

As of now, tickets for Saturday's games are going for well over $400 per seat.  Tickets are the Final Four Championship Game on April 8 are over $200 per seat.
