Duluth city officials are announcing a backup plan if rain forces the fireworks to be canceled on the 4th of July.

According to KBJR, "the city’s fireworks display would be moved to 10:10 p.m. Friday night" if the weather plays a factor for the planned Thursday night fireworks.

If weather forces officials to cancel Fourth Fest and the concerts with it, those will not be rescheduled as Bayfront already has other events booked for the weekend.

As of right now, there is a good chance we get some rain on the 4th of July. Get an hour-by-hour forecast here.
