Shari Knight

I was born and raised in Duluth and I grew up in a household with the radio on all the time. I think that's where my love of radio began. I even used to try and record my favorite songs on cassette and I would imitate the announcer. After graduating from radio school in the Twin Cities, I came back to Duluth and started my radio career. That was nearly 20 years ago. When I'm not working I can usually be found watching cartoons with my six year old. I've always been a fan of classic/hard rock. My husband loves to play name that tune with me, because I usually get it right. He keeps me on my toes. I'm really excited to be a part of an awesome station such as 106.5, The Sasquatch (and to be the first "Lady Sasquatch"). This is the music that I love and grew up with. That's enough about me, now let's rock!

My Grandma’s Marathon Memories

Grandma's Marathon is undoubtedly, one of the biggest summer attractions in the Northland. Thousands of people come here from all over the world to run and to cheer on the runners. And many more are local runners, all of them, ready to cross that iconic finish line on Saturday. But for me, Grandma's holds a special place in my heart. My Mom ran, and finished the race in 1984.

I can’t stop watching this…

Just when you thought you were pretty smart, someone came along and made this video of a few blocks of wood, a few marbles, springs, and magnets. And, in doing so they've crushed your spirit of believing that you could ever be this intelligent or ever amount to anything. The pure simple genius of this video is so awe inspiring it makes you want to break out your old domino set and hope to try to come close to making something as cool as this video.

The History of Mother’s Day

This Sunday is Mother's Day, and if for some reason you forget it, get ready for a mother-load of guilt. With every other commercial and advertisement reminding you, there's really no excuse. And it's been going on for quite some time now, this isn't a new holiday. The origins of Mother's day can be traced back hundreds of years.

Hairball Post Show Wrap-up

Another epic Hairball show is in the books! They definitely delivered on their promise for a bigger, better show. The Heritage Center, in my opinion, is a fantastic new place for a live event. A big thanks to them as well as twinportsnightlife.com and their staff for all their hard work at the event.

Easter Eggs

Have you ever wanted to launch an Easter Egg?

It's Easter time again this Sunday. Time to stuff our faces with an array of ham, green bean casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and dinner rolls as far as the eye can see. And then...there's dessert...But before we get to all that, why not add a little fun into the mix. On Saturday the 26th, the Harrison Community Center in West Duluth is hosting a free event for the kids.
