One of the great Minnesota Twins offseason traditions is TwinsFest, held each winter at Target Field. The Twins have announced the 2018 TwinsFest dates and tickets go on sale November 27.

Tuesday night, Major League Baseball announced 2017 Gold Glove winners and Byron Buxton and Brian Dozier of the Minnesota Twins both won the first Gold Gloves of their careers.

When the Twins season ended a year ago, after losing a team record 103 games, there was speculation on whether they would fire manager Paul Molitor.  What a difference a year makes.

Against all odds, the Minnesota Twins have made it to the postseason. Seeing how they lost 103 games last season, I think that even a one game Wild Card Playoff game is cause for celebration. The Chicago White Sox defeated the California Angels late Wednesday night 6-4 in ten innings, which officially eliminates the Angels from the playoffs and put the Twins in the postseason.

The Minnesota Twins are wrapping up their amazing season this week and they are in a great position to claim the final American League playoff spot. Buxton hit three homers and drove in a career-high five runs in Sunday's 7-2 win in Toronto.  That capped off a week where he posted a .333/.343/.818 slash line with 11 RBIs and an AL-high five homers.
