Tip A Cop Event In Duluth Benefits Minnesota Special Olympics
Special Olympics Minnesota is an organization that doesn't just hold events once every four years. They in fact host around 100 events each year, a majority of which are sports events and health fairs.
Events they hold are for all ages and all ability levels too, so it's about a focus on total community inclusion. To give you an idea of what they are all about, here's what their website has to say:
"Our mission is to create a new world of inclusion and acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities. We do this by providing year-round sports training and athletic competitions, inclusive healthcare programs, leadership and advocacy training, and inclusive school programs."
To help out the cause, there is a great event coming up on Monday, September 11th. Texas Roadhouse in Duluth will have a "Tip a Cop" evening from 3:30PM-8:00PM. Local law enforcement will be volunteering as wait staff and donating 100% of their tips to Special Olympics.
It's all a part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run. In addition to the tips being donated, there will be face painting, ice cream sundaes, a balloon twister, and plenty more for the kids and whole family.
So, if you're planning on going out to eat that week, consider popping into Texas Roadhouse for their awesome prime rib and a Texas Margarita for dinner, or even just a couple of apps. Float a few extra bucks to the volunteers for the tip and you will be helping out a great cause that does so much for so many people.
