June can't come fast enough! Season favorite A & Dubs will open again next month.

The restaurant announced the big news on their Facebook page Sunday (May 17th), writing that they will be opening for the season on Monday, June 1st.

I know where I will be that day. Ha! A & Dubs is only open for the summer season, closing for the winter every year. In fact, A & Dubs usually opens around Mother's Day every year and closes a few weeks after Labor Day.

The drive-in is famous for their burgers, onion rings and homemade sauces and I am hungry just thinking about it. They open around 10:30 a.m. every morning when open and close around 9 p.m.

Here's a fun fact for you: A & Dubs opened as an A & W in 1948 and thirty years later, under new ownership, changed its name to what it is now.

A & Dubs is located at 3131 West 3rd Street in Duluth. I will see you there June 1st!

The drive-in is just one of many local favorites that open for a short period of time every year. Gordy's Hi-Hat is only open for the spring and summer season every year and had to open its doors a bit later than usual this year due to COVID-19.

Portland Malt Shoppe is another great example of a seasonal eatery in the Northland, opening for just a few months every year. They have yet to open their doors this year due to the pandemic.
