Battle At The Riv Is All About Tribute Bands

Life as we know it is starting to get a little back to normal these days.  More and more people are getting vaccinated and restrictions are lessening, which means the options for live music are increasing.  As much as I like seeing original artists perform, I'm a huge fan of cover and tribute bands as well.  An upcoming event will put tribute bands against each other for a cash prize, and also for your entertainment that I know many are needing.

Battle at the Riv, as in The River Inn Bar and Grill, should prove to be a couple of great nights of music.  It's slated for Saturday, April 17th and possibly the 24th depending on the number of groups.  Each night is free for the public to attend, and the rocking will start at 6:00PM.

The bands will each have 45 minutes to tribute one artist of their choice and the winners of the battling will walk home with $500.  This is a great opportunity to get out of the house and support local musicians while enjoying a few cocktails too.  It seems like forever since I've even heard of a battle of the bands type event mentioned that I have to say, it's about damn time.
