Fans can often be seen posing with the statue of the late Bon Scott at Fremantle in Perth, Australia. Scott died at the age of 33 in London. He was found in his car, after a night of heavy drinking, where he initially fell asleep.

Ronald Belford Scott. (July 9,1946 - February 19,1980) Born in Forfar, Angus, Scotland, UK, better known as Bon Scott. He was in several other bands before joining AC/DC in 1974. According to an issue of Classic Rock Magazine Scott was rated as number one in a list of the "100 Greatest Front Men of All Time", even beating out Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant. After that fateful night in 1980, AC/DC briefly debated disbanding, but after good amount of support from Scott's family, they quickly recruited vocalist Brian Johnson from the band Geordie. They went on to record Back in Black, a tribute to Bon, that became their all-time best selling album to date.  AC/DC fans will always be grateful that the band has carried on, but they will never forget the wiry, gravely voiced pioneer that kick started the band on their long way to the top.
