Duluth Grill Closes Until Further Notice

Update: the Duluth Grill is open again as of Saturday, August 8th. 

Another popular Northland restaurant has closed temporarily due to COVID-19. The Duluth Grill is shut down until further notice.

The eatery announced the news on their Facebook page Tuesday (August 4th), stating that an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Here's what they had to say regarding the closure:

Effective immediately, we are temporarily closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. This team member is one of our back of house employees, from which they had little, to no contact with guests. Their last shift worked was July 26th, and once we received their positive results, we promptly closed.

During our time temporarily closed, we will be bringing in a professional cleaner who will be sterilizing and deep cleaning our restaurant. We will be identifying and advising those who may have been exposed to this staff member to get tested, as well as carefully reviewing our protocols to ensure the safest service possible once we re-open.

We thank you for your patience and trust as we navigate this unprecedented time.

There is no word on when the restaurant will reopen. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated when they announce their plans to open again.

Duluth Grill is one restaurant in a handful that have had to close because an employee tested positive for COVID-19. In late July, both Little Angie's and Grandma's Saloon & Grill in Canal Park announced they would be closing until further notice. Earlier in the month, Great Harvest Bread Co. in Duluth also shut down temporarily and for the same reason.
