It's almost time again for the annual Polar Plunge.

The proceeds raised during one of the many plunge events help to support Special Olympics of Minnesota.  Their programs provide year-round training and services to thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.

Options for getting involved include taking a pledge and fundraising for your jump into the frigid water and building a team to do it with you.  You can even do a Virtual Plunge with a big ole bucket of ice water too, or just straight up make a donation if getting cold and wet isn't your thing.

Whichever way you choose to help out, they stress that even a $75 donation can make a huge impact on the programs they provide throughout the year.

If you are looking for a team to join the City of Duluth Police Department invites you to join their team either by donating or taking the plunge with them.  If you do take the plunge on their team, not only will you be helping out the cause, but you'll also score some sweet DPD gear as well.

The Duluth Police Department is still several thousand dollars away from their goal at the time of writing this, so consider helping out if you can on their Polar Plunge Page.

Again, even a small donation will help the cause and the Duluth Polar Bear Plunge is always a great time and worth enduring the few minutes of cold to help out.
