The new year brings some sad news for fans of the Chinese Dragon restaurant, located at 108 E. Superior Street in downtown Duluth. After serving the Northland for over 40 years, the popular restaurant permanently closed their doors on December 31.

The building that housed the Chinese Dragon was sold and rather than endure what can be a grueling process of relocating, the owners decided to take a well-deserved retirement. Now, a live liquidation auction has been set and there are many items available.

Nordic Auction will be hosting the live auction on at the Chinese Dragon restaurant location on Wednesday, January 12. Inspection will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the sale starts at 4:00 p.m.

Nordic Auction announced on their Facebook page that this will be a complete business liquidation, which will include memorabilia like the sign and wall art pictured above as well as a lot of restaurant equipment. Just a few of those highlights include:

Parking for the auction is available in the ramp across the street. Buyers should come prepared to haul their purchases in a timely matter. Pick-up hours will be from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on January 13, the day after the liquidation auction.
