Duluth’s Lift Bridge Will Be Lit Up For LSC Graduates And Faculty
Many students who have worked hard for their college degrees are not going to get the graduation they were probably expecting. Social distancing due to the current pandemic is preventing that. Some institutions are having ceremonies online or are celebrating students in other ways. Lake Superior College has announced that the city of Duluth will be lighting up the lift bridge with the LSC teal blue color, in honor of the 2020 graduating class.
It's a tribute to not only students but faculty too, who have all needed to make adjustments for this latest semester. On Monday, May 18th, you can check it out in person. If you aren't in the area though and would like to view it, there is an option for that too. Visit Duluth has webcams available and one or more will have the bridge in sight. The webcams can be viewed at http://visitduluth.com/livecam/.
On behalf of the whole staff here at Townsquare Media, congratulations to all of the Lake Superior College graduates. A big thanks too, to the faculty and staff who also adapted and made sure that students were able to graduate, while maybe not as planned, at least on time. If you are a student that's bummed about how graduation is working out, remember, this is just a small bump in what will hopefully be a long and fulfilling career journey.
