Here’s How to Get a $100 for Getting COVID-19 Vaccine
If you live in Minnesota and recently got the vaccine, you may be eligible to grab $100.
Last week, Governor Tim Walz announced that Minnesotans aged 12 and older who have got their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine since July 30 and before the end of the day on August 15th can request a $100 Visa gift card as a way to try and boost the vaccine rate in the state.
Starting today, you can submit this form to request your $100 visa gift card, all requests must be submitted to the Minnesota Department of Health by 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 15th.
"As we head into the fall and kids go back to school, the best tool we have to fight COVID-19 is any of the three safe, free, and highly effective vaccines. Now is the time to get your shot, and get $100, Minnesota," said Walz.
The program is being funded by $2.5 million from the American Rescue Plan, and the $100 incentive is available to the 24,330 eligible submissions. Walz hopes to get additional funding for the program from the State Legislature, foundations, and nonprofits, so they can continue to offer "real-time incentives".
If you interested in getting a vaccine and collecting the $100, you can find the nearest place to get the vaccine through the Minnesota Vaccine Connector. Here you can use the interactive map to find a location and even search by vaccine maker.
Just under 54% of Minnesota is fully vaccinated, with 6.1 million doses administered to just over 3 million people around the state.
