Essentia Health Warns Of New Scam Impacting Minnesota + Wisconsin
Sadly, we can't seem to through an entire week without having a new scam to warn you about. Heck, we're lucky if we get two scam-free days in a row!
Recently, Cook County officials warned that a new text scam was reportedly circulating through the Grand Marais area.
There is also a ticket scam to look out for surrounding the Brantley Gilbert show scheduled for Thursday, July 18 at Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth. That scam involves tickets being bought by unreputable ticket outlets. Those who get tricked into making a purchase will be stuck with fake tickets.
Now, there is yet another scam in the Northland that you should be aware of if you or someone you know becomes a target.

In most instances, people reported receiving a job offer via social media. As a condition of employment, they were asked to provide personal information in advance.
Essentia Health stresses that it will never ask for personal information outside of its application system. All legitimate employment communication is handled through the Essentia Health Careers website, essentiacareers.org.
This scam affects only those who were contacted directly through non-Essentia Health channels. Essentia Health adds that it has reported this scam attempt to authorities for further investigation.
