As a kid I grew up playing basketball, like most kids I had a free standing hoop in the driveway and my friends and I would play a game of horse, 3 on 3 pick up game and of would try some trick shots like our hero's The Harlem Globetrotters.

I remember the first time I went and saw them with my dad in an arena in downtown Milwaukee.  I must have been around 9 years old, just me and my Dad and it was magical. Being the youngest of five kids I loved when I did stuff with just my Mom or dad and he knew how much I would love seeing them perform, especially "Curly" he was my favorite just like everyone else.

According to The Duluth News Tribune Globetrotters general manager Jeff Munn said. "We have lost one of the most genuine human beings the world has ever known,"  "Curly's basketball skill was unrivaled by most, and his warm heart and huge smile brought joy to families worldwide."

I am so happy that he has been around long enough to see women now on the team, and new generations of kids being part of the magic. Thanks for all the great memories Curly.
