The Harlem Globetrotters are coming back to Duluth at the Amsoil Arena with a slam dunk competition, gravity-defying spins, and all the laughs you'd expect.

The Harlem Globetrotters are celebrating 90+ years in existence and are coming to the DECC Saturday, March 19th. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and at the DECC box office. You can also buy tickets at HarlemGlobetrotters.com.

According to HarlemGlobetrotters.com, Abe Saperstein founded the team in 1926, and they played their first road game in Hinckley, Illinois, on Jan. 7, 1927. Since then they have entertained millions of people all over the world.

I went to the Globetrotters when I was a kid down at the DECC, and I was able to take my son Sam and see it again through his eyes. We caught a t-shirt, we bought a basketball, and Sam was able to get it signed. Something I wish I could have done when I was a kid. I know that we came home and tried everything they did in their show.

The Harlem Globetrotters do a fabulous job of getting the kids and crowd into the game as well as meet and greets after the game. Sam was so excited to meet the people on the team and meet the guys on the other team as well. You can shoot a basketball, and even get lessons on how to spin the ball like them.

I was able to meet a couple of  Harlem Globetrotters and do some things with them. I met Zeus at our old building and got to play basketball with him and met Flip once we were in the new building. I was instantly a kid again with these guys and remembered going to see them and thought it was pretty cool to hang around them.

Here's a couple of videos of me goofing off with them.
