Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks standout Karson Kuhlman has yet to start his junior year of high school hockey, but he already knows where he is headed.

Tuesday Kuhlman gave the UMD Bulldogs a verbal commitment to play for UMD in college - but it will be awhile before he puts on a UMD sweater.  He still has two years of high school remaining.

Kuhlman led the Lumberjacks in scoring last year with 27 goals and 28 assists for 55 points.  This past summer he played on a U.S. Under 18 Select team.  His High School Head Coach with the Luberjacks, Dave Esse also stayed close to come in college, and was an All-American defenseman at UWS.
