Mini X Games in West Duluth

On my usual trip to pick up my son at my mom's house, I stumbled upon this unique site. This group of snowboarders were fashioning up a mini snow ramp through the middle of the street, much to the chagrin of the cars trying to drive by. However the boys were quite gracious and very "Wayne and Garth" about the whole thing, ("Car!", "Game On!")

So I'm not exactly sure how they came up with this, but it's sheer brilliance, They hooked up a rope to a generator/motor, fired it up, strapped a snowboard to their feet, hung on, and the rest is history.

You can't tell by the video, but there was a team of approximately 20 of them either filming, maintaining the snow-ramp, being the ones crazy enough to do the tricks themselves, or just being the cheering section on the sidelines. I did notice some of those doing the cheering, were the ones that had a cast on a body part or an arm in a sling. In any event, the guys were very good natured and quite fearless in their attempts to achieve the ultimate camera shot.

This all being put together for an upcoming video that is set for debut next fall.
