As we sit, we are under seven hours from the first pick in the 2013 NFL draft. The Vikings have two picks in the first round with a pick at 23, and 25. What will the Vikings do? Do they go after wide receiver? or middle linebacker? defensive tackle?

A few days ago there was a rumor out there that the Vikings were moving up to get West Virgina receiver Tavon Austin, but Vikings general manager Rick Spielman denied those reports, saying they are more likely moving back instead of moving up. So instead of playing "what if" let's just say the Vikings stay at 23, and 25. I will give the three guys I would love to be selected by the Vikings, and three guys who most likely will be picked by the Vikings.

Austin is what I call a "sexy" pick, he is a Percy Harvin point-two, a guy who can line up at receiver or running back and can even return kicks, but by the time the Vikings pick at 23 Austin will have already been selected.

Another guy who I would love in a Vikings jersey is Missouri d-lineman Sheldon Richardson. The Vikings could easily shift between Kevin Williamson to Richardson without missing a beat, but once again the Vikings will likely miss this guy, because Richardson is slated to be picked in the early teens.

Another area where the Vikings lack is corner back. Wouldn't a corner back that has two, I said two national championship rings, and played on a team that is the closet to an NFL team in college football in Alabama. A guy who could easily make us forget about losing Antoine Winfield. A guy named Dee Milliner. The down side is Milliner is a top ten pick, and the Vikings will once again miss on a player that could easily upgrade a defense that is in desperate need for another corner back.

Now for the three guys who can be selected by the Vikings.

Robert Woods wide receiver USC. This guy is a big guy who will be a favorite for Christian Ponder for years to come. Woods is tall, can stretch the field, and has the personality that the Vikings love. Do not be surprised if Woods lines up on the other side of the field with Greg Jennings next season.

Desmond Trufant corner back from Washington. He is tall, fast, and could easily cover Calvin Johnson, and Brandon Marshall. Trufant has a tremendous upside, and is once again has the right mind set that the Vikings want in their locker room.

This one is a tie depending on who is left on the board. I would love to see Manti Te'o. I know he struggeled in the national championship game, we know about the catfish hoax, we know that he did not have a great combine, but he is a leader, a Heisman runner up. He is a great linebacker, and could fix a glaring hole on the Vikings depth chart. But Te'o might not be there for the Vikings, if he is not then the Vikings draft Alec Ogletree linebacker out of Georgia. Olgetree, just like Te'o will fill a hole that the Vikings have, and is great player.

Who knows what will happen tonight, but that is what makes the NFL great, no one knows what will happen; I will give grades on the Vikings first round selection tomorrow.
