NWS Releases Temperature Outlook For Duluth / Superior Into End Of April

April is always a mixed bag when it comes to the weather. You never really know what you are going to get - especially in the Northland!

Thankfully, we have the National Weather Service of Duluth. They issued a ten-day temperature outlook for the country, which includes the Northland and surrounding areas. They did so on their Twitter account Thursday (April 15th).

The outlook goes through twenty-fourth of April. According to the graphic they shared, the Twin Ports and surrounding areas can expect temperatures below average as we head into the end of April.

The graphic, which is shown here, shows that the Twin Ports has a strong chance for seeing temperatures below what they should be. The chance is between seventy and eighty percent.

So what is normal for the Twin Ports this time of year? According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the average temperature for our region in April is about forty-two degrees, which means we are in for a brisk end of the month. Yikes!

Just how cold we will get remains to be seen. Hopefully, we see temperatures just below our average and not dipping into the thirties. This is April in the Twin Ports though so really anything can happen!

On the bright side, despite the fact that below-average temperatures may be in the forecast for us, it can't be as bad as that extended cold snap we had in February. That was brutal and anything other than that sounds delightful!
