Spring must be here because road construction related notices are coming out fast and furious. The City of Duluth has issued notice in relation to the 8th/9th Street Rehabilitation and Preservation Project.

The City says they will be working along 8th Street and 9th Street between North 6th Avenue East and Woodland Avenue until approximately May 31st. This will complete the aforementioned project that was implemented in 2018.

This is a federally project that governs the public right of way, and allows for intersection improvements and select curb removal and replacement.

Be aware that at least through the month of May there will be no parking allowed in select areas, as crews will be working within the parking lane.  If you're traveling in this area, please drive slowly and be cautious as there will be city workers out doing their job near the driving lanes.

Anyone needing more information is encouraged to City Project Engineer, Patrick Loomis at ploomis@duluthmn.gov.
