Lending people money almost never works out the way it should. Usually the lender gets screwed and the two individuals end up with a pretty hearty dislike for each other. Former Minnesota Viking (Oakland Raider, New England Patriot, Minnesota Viking [again], and Tennessee Titan) Randy Moss learned that sad truth, and finally got his payday 7 years later.

Moss lent $160,000 to a hair salon owner by the name of Kelvin Jones in 2005 while he was playing with the Oakland Raiders. Jones took the money with the intent of starting a fancy hair salon in Palm Beach, Florida, and he would repay Moss in a pre-structured 96 installment payment plan. Fast forward 7 years, 4 teams, and one collection attempt later, and Moss hadn't seen any of the money Jones owed him.

Moss was finally awarded his money this week after a judge heard testimony from both parties, including information about how Jones ignored a previous lawsuit over the matter. The judge ordered Moss be paid back his $160,000 plus an additional $62,000 in interest, fees, and penalties.

The check is supposedly in the mail. Unfortunately the judge wasn't able to make Jones pay in "straight cash, homie" - hopefully the check is good.
