The Blue Heron ship is owned by the Large Lakes Observatory with the University of Minnesota Duluth and it works on a lot of projects.  From water quality issues to fishing populations, it serves as a research vessel on Lake Superior.

They are offering a free tour of the vessel on and around for kids in grades 6th-12th on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019.  The seventy five minute tour will give the students an opportunity to learn about the Large Lake Observatory's work on Lake Superior.  While the tours may be free, there is preregistration required and they will need to know not only how many students and what age ranges they are in but also how many chaperones will be on the tour as well.  On the registration page you can also select your tour times as there are three separate ones starting at 10:00AM and ending at 2:30PM.  The link to the registration is here.
