There are plenty of 5K's in the Northland to keep you moving and if you're up for a bit of a challenge, you'll want to be in Duluth's Chester Park at 6:30 p.m. this Friday, June 29.

The Chester Park Trail Run is a 5K that will take participants on the dirt trails of Chester Park.  The park and trails have recently undergone numerous enhancements, so the scenic course should be in amazing condition for all runners.

The being said, organizers say that the trail surface is still challenging, with rocks, roots, steep uphills and steep downhills.  If you've never tried trail running before, this will be a great way to give it a try.

All runners will receive:

  • Chip timed and well-marked trail race
  • Custom running handheld water bottle
  • Snacks and water at the finish line
  • Age group awards ceremony at Chester Park Chalet

You can follow the link below for complete details and to register online for $25 until Thursday night.  You can also register in person on race day for $30.
