Share Your Writing At This Open Mic Event
To be a writer, you don't have to be a pro at putting your thoughts onto paper. Many seasoned and well known writers work on developing a particular style or exploring others throughout their careers. Maybe you want to further develop your skills and style, if you do, Lake Superior Writers invites you to read some of your work.
Lake Superior Writers a a group of over 200 members across the Arrowhead Region of Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin. Their goal is to support the artistic development of writers to help promote a vibrant literary arts community.
On Wednesday, February 10th, from 6:00-7:00PM, they will host a free open mic night that's virtual. You're invited to read your work in a 5-minute time slot from the comfort of your own home, office, car, or wherever you are. While it's free to attend, you do need to submit your work in advance to try and snag a reading spot. Spots are given on a first come, first served basis and priority for reading will be given to members of Lake Superior Writers.
They are asking that you limit adult content and language in your work, and want to remind everyone that graphic violent or sexual content is not allowed. To try for your spot to share your writing art you can email writers@lakesuperiorwriters.org. They will follow-up with a Zoom link invite the day of the event.
