The Duluth Public Library does a good job at hosting various events to bring more kids into the library.  Some of those events don't always focus specifically on reading, but I think in the age of electronics, anything to get kids in the door of a library, is a good thing.

One of their events that is more on the reading side of things is a series of four workshops called Write On.  These workshops are designed for writers ages 10-18.  Writers can attend one or all four of the workshops as each is a stand-alone event.  You can bring completed works for feedback if you want, or just anything you are currently writing and might want some direction with.  Pizza is also provided at this event until it's gone and while it is free to attend, you do need to here.

The next Write On Workshop is on Thursday, February 6th, from 4:00PM-6:00PM at the Downtown Branch in their Gold Room.
