Nudie Bars Already Laying The Smack Down On Google Glass
Google recently announced their new product, Glass, the strange looking eyewear which allows you to surf the web and take pictures and video all while looking like Jean-Claude Van Damme in "Universal Soldier."
Early adopters (those nerdy guys at your office who are up to speed on the latest trends and gadgets long before anyone else) are willing to shell out $1,500 for these high-powered specs. For such a price tag, we know they'd want to wear these things everywhere they go. Unfortunately, their local skin bar won't be one of those places.
NBC News reports that strip club owners are already adding Skynet's latest creation to the list of prohibited items, which includes cellphones and pocket-sized video cameras, to prevent stealthy patrons from taking pictures of some of America's finest ladies hard at work. Peter Feinstein, managing director of Sapphire Gentlemen's Club in Las Vegas, is quoted as saying "If they don't want to check it, we'd be happy to give them a limo ride back to their hotel." This is a very polite way of saying "You'll be removed so fast you won't have time to do a google search for articles titled: How To Avoid Getting Kicked Out of a Strip Club Before The Monstrous Bouncers Boots Your Tail to the Yellow Cab Line."
NBC goes on to explain that casinos and banks are also voicing their concerns about the device. Heads up: if you are going to Vegas, be sure to pack plenty of cash (for said hard-working ladies), a toothbrush, a rock-solid alibi and a pair of Aviators that are not hooked up to the internet. Don't say we didn't warn you.
