Senior center Jack Connolly for the UMD Bulldogs has been announced as one of the three players in this year's Hobey Baker Hat Trick. From this group, a winner of the Hobey Baker Award will be selected and announced as the top performer in NCAA Division I Men's Hockey.

Connolly was nominated last year and made it into the top 10 list for consideration. This year, he was the second highest scorer in the country and also had the second most assists, posting 20 goals and 40 assists for 60 points in 41 games. The senior never missed a game in his collegiate career, playing through 164 straight games.

Connolly is joined in the Hobey Hat Trick by senior forward Spencer Abbott of the University of Maine and Austin Smith, a senior forward with Colgate University.

A winner will be announced Friday, April 6 in Tampa, Florida during the NCAA Frozen Four. The NHL Network will carry the announcement at 5:00 pm local time.
