MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have reached agreement on a three-year contract extension with Minnesota State University for their training camp site.

The Vikings announced Wednesday they'll return to Mankato for their preseason ritual through at least 2018. This was their 50th straight summer staying on the hillside campus of the NCAA Division II school located about 70 miles southwest of their suburban Twin Cities headquarters in Eden Prairie.

Only Green Bay, at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, has held training camp longer in the same spot. The Packers have practiced there since 1958.

Minnesota State, which opened in 1868 as Mankato Normal School, will celebrate its 150th year in 2017.
