Since the crack of free agency on Sunday I have been glued to my TV patiently waiting to hear what Parise will do. Zach Parise is the hottest free agent in the NHL this year. Not only is Parise a great hockey player, but he is from Minnesota.

Minnesota Wild have given Parise the key to Governor Mansion in Saint Paul. General Manager Chuck Fletcher has put on the full court press for Parise, but maybe Fletcher needs to borrow Zygi Wilf private plane, and just go grab Parise. The Wild are in a critical phase right now. It has been over a decade since the Wild first took the ice, the excitement is slowly fading in the Xcel Energy Center, and for the past few seasons we have bragged about our prospects in our organization, but fans want to win now!

It has been four years since the Wild last played in the playoffs. Hockey is a religion in Minnesota, yet our professional team hasn't lived up to our expectations. Bringing in Parise will re-energize the Wild, and would push the Wild towards the top of the Western Conference.

But what about Ryan Suter? The Wild might have given the key of the Governor Mansion to Parise, but the Wild have given the key to the Xcel Energy Center to Suter. Suter will fill a huge hole on our defense. If Parise and Suter come to SOTA will we see a pep rally at the X, and hear Dany Heatley, Parise, Suter say not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven?

The next few days are huge for the Wild, they have created a lot of cap room for Parise, and Suter, but that does not guarantee they will come. The Wild need Parise and Suter, but do they need the Wild? Fletcher needs to land these two all-stars if he wants the Wild to become reality, and to save his job. If we land these two players, then expect to see the Winter Classic held in Minnesota next season.

Stay tuned, because within the next 48 hours we will find out where Suter, and Parise will land.
