In the Northland, we don't let something like summer stop us from ice skating.  The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department has announced two indoor summer skating opportunities.

The skating opportunities cover a wide range of age groups and both take place at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center, located at 120 S N 30th Avenue West:

  • Pre-school and caregiver skates will begin on Tuesdays, starting on April 30th, from 9:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • Open skates will be available every Sunday beginning May 5th, from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Open skating will not be available on June 9, July 21 and August 18. The cost of admission is $2 per person.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own skates.  There are a limited number of skates available at the Heritage Center, on a first come first serve basis.

Anyone who has questions regarding the summer skating programs offered at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center in Duluth is encouraged to call 218-730-4300.
