FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The senior producer of ESPN's College GameDay show says Fargo was one of the "all-time best spots" for the program and the sports network would like to return.

The popular three-hour pregame show was held Saturday morning in downtown Fargo, in advance of North Dakota State's football game against Delaware State.

GameDay producer Lee Fitting tells The Forum newspaper that ESPN will make Fargo a yearly stop "if everything falls into place."

Thousands of Bison fans dressed in green and yellow filled the streets of Broadway and many spectators cheered from windows, patios and rooftops flanking the street.

The show ended with GameDay host Lee Corso walking out of the Fargo Theatre wearing a buffalo head and walking a baby bison on a leash.

NDSU defeated the visiting Hornets 51-0.
