Take notes, Proctor residents.

A fire hydrant in the area will be replaced on Thursday (August 29th) which means water will be shut off in the surrounding area for a short period of time.

As of now, the City of Proctor is saying water will be shut off starting at 9 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m. They also note that it could be back on sooner if everything goes smoothly.

The fire hydrant set to be replaced is by the high school's upper parking lot.

Here's the city's full statement on the matter, which they posted to their Facebook page Wednesday (August 27th):

PUC will be replacing another fire hydrant on Thursday the 29th of August. Time will be 9 to 5 and if the works goes smoothly it will be back on sooner. The fire hydrant is by the high school upper parking lot. They are working on the list of houses that will be out of water and will call them when it gets finalized.

Be on the lookout for a phone call if you live in the area and spread the word!
