Former UMD Bulldog, CEC Lumberjack Karson Kuhlman Called Up to Boston Bruins
A Northland hockey star continues to rise, as former Cloquet-Esko-Carlon Lumberjack and UMD Bulldog Karson Kuhlman is getting the call up to the NHL.
The Boston Bruins announced via their Twitter account Wednesday that the 23-year old Kuhlman will be hitting the ice for the first time as an NHL player.
Kuhlman signed a two-year contract with the Bruins organization in April of 2018. Skating for their Providence AHL club, he has 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points with a plus-22 rating in 50 games with Providence this year, according to a press release from the Bruins.
Less than a year removed from winning an NCAA Division I hockey championship with the UMD Bulldogs, Kuhlman will get to skate with the Bruins as early as Friday against the Ducks as Boston travels to Anaheim for a West Coast road trip that includes Anaheim on Friday, Los Angeles on Saturday, and San Jose on Monday.
