National Train Day this year commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad in 1869.

Starting at 9AM on Saturday, May 11th, at Duluth's Depot there will be all kinds of things going on for the whole family.  Activities include special video presentations, pump car demonstrations, train excursions and your chance to see all The Depot Train Museum has to offer.  Unfortunately the steam train will not be open for excursions but that will be back in the Twin Ports again starting in June.

The Depot also offers all kinds of excursions throughout the spring, summer and fall.  There are tickets still available for Mother's day excursions if you are looking for a gift last minute and a little farther out they have a Father's Day BBQ Luncheon.  You can get more information about National Train Day and everything they have to offer at The Depot here.  The Depot is located at 506 West Michigan Street.
