Hundreds of people will gather at the Duluth Lakewalk on Saturday to raise money and awareness for heart health. It's the 23rd annual Northland Heart Walk, and it's the signature fundraising event for the organization that raises money for the American Heart Association

Registration begins at 8 am at Leif Erickson Park. An opening ceremony will take place at 8:45, with the walk beginning at 9am.

There is still time to register ahead by visiting NorthlandHeartWalk.org.  Join a team or enter as an individual for the event. There is the option to walk either a 1 or 3 mile loop.  As of writing this blog, there has been $26,090 raised so far for the event. The goal is to raise $89,000.
