Portion Of Lakewalk Closed This Week For Lighting Installation

If you're looking to stroll the Lakewalk in Duluth this week, be advised that a portion of the Lakewalk will be closed through this Friday, January 31.

According to the City of Duluth Parks, Properties, and Libraries Department, a portion of the Lakewalk is closed this week to install new lighting along the pathway.

The closed portion is at Leif Erickson Park, to the bottom of the Portland Malt Shop stairs. Crews will start work early Monday morning and will work throughout this week during regular business hours.

While a minor inconvenience, the Lakewalk is 7.5 miles long so there is still plenty of room to walk and get terrific views of Lake Superior during what promises to be another mild temperature week in the Northland.
