Lets be honest, does anyone out there really think the Minnesota Vikings will be playing in Indianapolis this coming February? A few years ago the NFC North Division was a weak one, but now people are talking about the Detroit Lions making the play-offs(yes you did read that right, the LIONS!). The Green Bay Packers are the
defending Super Bowl champions, and if the Chicago Bears Quarterback can stop milking out a sore leg then maybe they could make it to the Super Bowl.

If you look at the upcoming season for the Vikings it looks bleak, because now the Lions are not a easy win, the Vikings could be 0-6 playing in the Division; and could be overall 6-10 just like last year. Yet this team could become the next Green Bay Packers of 2011 and shoot under the radar all the way to the Super Bowl. Yet that chance is like saying Vikings will have a new stadium by 2016(which also looks like that wont happen).

Week one could become a "must-win", yeah that is right a must-win on week one, because the Vikes open the season against the San Diego Chargers, which are a Super Bowl contenders in the AFC. If the Vikings beat the Chargers then we could ultimately look at a 5-0 Vikings if they keep up their momuntem when they kick off a Division match up against the Bears in week six. They play the Bears, and the Packers three-out-of-four weeks in the middle of the season. Lets just say if the Vikings win two of those three games against the Bears and Packers, then you will see a 8-1 team. After that the only real hard match ups are the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, and the Bears. Mix in games against the Oakland Raiders, Lions, and Washington Redskins; we COULD see a team that could be anywhere from 11-5, to a 13-3 team, but that is IF things go correctly, most likely we will see a team that resembles a 6-10 or a 8-8 team.

The big holes on this team is Offensive line, and Defensive backs. Over the years we have seen our D-backs look like star gazers then football players, but if they somehow learn how to cover a wide receiver then we could see a very great Defence lead by Jared Allen, and Kevin Williams. The Offensive line is ugly, almost uglier then Jared Allen mullet, but nothing will ever beat that. Not even a 400 pound wall could protect Donovan McNabb. Besides Steve Hutchinson this O-line could be worse then the Gophers line. If we see the O-line return to greatness then we should not be surprised to see Adrian Peterson rush for 1600 yards, and 16 plus Touchdowns, and would help McNabb return to his glory days back in Philadelphia.

This team has more holes then stars, its so hard to think that two years ago we were NFL greats, and now we are like the Lions, but if this team can gel, and can work as one, then I don't see why this team can't become a play-off team, they got a great coaching staff, a veteran Quarterback, a star Running back, and a mean D-line. Yet if AP gets hurts, and the Vikings secondary starts letting receivers get past them worst then the Metrodome is at keeping snow off the field, then we could be in for a long winter.
