In the Duluth and Superior areas, one thing both cities are pretty great at is providing some pretty decent park options for our communities.

We all know how much getting outdoors, being active, and taking in some fresh air are good for us, and having safe and modern places to do that at no cost are key to a healthy community.

Lincoln Park, located at 25th Avenue West and 3rd Street in Duluth is celebrating their grand reopening on Tuesday, October 17th at 3:00PM.

Everyone is invited to the celebration and they have a lot in store to check out.  Part of the work done involves a brand new playground and some massive improvement to bridges.

For the dedication ceremony, there will also be a commemorative naming of the stone pavilion in honor and memory of Councilor Renee Van Nett.  Light refreshments will be provided and besides the walking tours, plenty more will be going on, especially geared towards our youth.

There will be a youth scavenger hunt, yard games, and more.  At the time of writing this, the weather is looking to be around 60 degree and partly sunny, so it should be decent enough to enjoy the event.

Plenty of time, energy, and money was put into the work done on the park to improve it for community use, so join in if you can to help celebrate a renewed area to help build our community.  You can get more information on this and other upcoming Duluth Park events here.
