The Spartan Hot Rod has been going on for several years now.  Initially it was a bike build, where Superior High School students would restore and modify a motorcycle.  The mentoring program has now transformed into students modifying and or restoring a car or other type vehicle.  It connects high school students with automotive professionals and gives them an opportunity to learn many hands on skills for their senior project.  This is the type of program I wish they had when I was in high school.

The organization has been able to thrive because of community support, The Kitchen, a restaurant in Superior has been a supporter of the build since the beginning.  As part of further fundraising for the program, they are part of a bake sale on Tuesday, November 26th, form 11:00AM-1:00PM at the City County Complex Atrium on the back side of the Superior Court House.  There will be baked items for sale and also crafts, BBQ sandwiches, and chicken wild rice soup.  If you want to donate anything for the sale, items can be dropped off at The Kitchen Restaurant on Tuesday morning.
