The Spartan Hot Rod is a mentoring program in which each year a team of Superior Wisconsin high school students restore and modify a car.

This program was founded in 2014 and has been giving students hands on experience working with different vehicles, something I wish I could have had in high school.  Various community businesses stand behind the project each year and every May the vehicle that was worked on for the last year is auctioned off to raise money for the program to continue.

The auction takes place on May, 19th from 11AM-2PM at The Kitchen located at 803 North 5th Street in Superior, WI.  Not only is at an auction, it's a car show.  So bring your ride, no matter the make or model.  Entry is free, there is a silent auction, dollar raffle buckets, food for sale, a bounce house for the kids, and the Blue Water Big Band will be rocking the place weather permitting.  This is a rain or shine event but it's for a good cause so make it if you can regardless of the weather.  You'll have your chance to bid on a restored 1984 Corvette and that auction starts at 2PM.  More information can be found on their Facebook page here.
